Hi guys... Virumandi from Ulaga Nayagan is an as usual for me. Kamal Hassan characterises the hero virumandi as a rogue and useless fellow. The one and only advantage the hero posseses is the soft water in his heritery land. He is not even having a one good reason to become a Hero.
Then the NallamaNayakkar (Nepolean) is also very selfish. He and his followers hates virumandi and kothalla thevar in the first and once when he knows that virumandi had given all his weath to his village, he is trying to save him. So in such a case he is also not a good man.
Then come to Kothalla thevar. This is the only character which was designed exactly right. He is a man acting dually to make his wish fulfil. Dhanalakshmi(Abirami) charcter does her ever best in love sequences (a ''J'' to her).
Then there are something which irritates me in the film are;
- All the cars used in the movies is three lettered registration (ie..TMN, TDR etc)..and the TVS 50 is TN-59 registration
2.Then Nallama nayakkar is using a mobile phone(nolia 5110) and then gave it to virumandi. mobiles are introduced in chennai only at 1999. and into tamil nadu it might around 2000
From the above two points I would like to say when the interior tamilnadu is sophasthicated with a mobile service, the cars which are running through the villages are ford escorts, or atleast a Maruthi. But all through the film they are using only the old version ammbassador or a fiat or the earlier one then that. Is it a right thought??
