Dear Readers,
''With the advent of satellite TVs, people had the luxury to choose their entertainment - and they chose ruthlessly. Films flopped left, right and centre. Star power was no longer enough to persuade the audience to sit through a bad film. The winds of change are blowing over the industry. It is the perfect time for our new generation of filmmakers to strike'' - Ms. Preity Zinta for BBC South Asia.
Saying so, starts my review on Virumandi. I have become pretty obssessed with writing reviews in a novel style, that I am not able to pen normal reviews. And with my work keeping me busy all round the clock, I find it pretty hard to devote time for writing and typing reviews. Anyway as my tribute to all review writers who had kept this Tamil Cinema Category, I decided to burn some extra midnight oil and try out yet another unconventional review.
The case of Virumandi is a shining example. I had tried to write a review in a style emulating the style of screenplay in that movie.
The screenplay of Virumandi starts with a short note against Capital Punishment, moves on to a criminal case and how the same story is seen from two angles, those of the villian and the hero and how cleverly the protogoanist researcher blends them to suit her cause of ''No Capital Punishment''.
In a similar vein, this review starts with a case for the rise of Tamil Cinema, moves on with the case of Virumandi and the film is reviewed in two angles and attempts at a possible interpretation of the quality of the film towards the cause ''Rise of Tamil Cinema.
Even when I thought of writing the review in that style, I knew Mouthshut would catch me on the 8000 limit. I tried my best to concise my review, in vain. I dont prefer in compromising my review and was forced to put it as a seperate web page
Please get into https://reavan.0catch.com/virumandi.html for my complete review.
I hope you bear with this inconvenience.

Anyway let me end this note by justifying the title VIRUMANDI - My Version, For me Virumandi is a great thing for a passionate Tamil fan, and yet no fan can complain that it lacks in entertainment. It is really a ,Very Interesting Rendering Ulitmately Making A Noble & Divine Impression.
Looking Forward to your comments
