Vikram is even more heroic in the real than his screen personal. The actor has recently helped raise money for the heart surgery of 33 poor children.
The actor met the operated children on New Year’s Day to wish them good health. The children were naturally delighted to see their hero in person and wished him a happy and prosperous New Year too.
The noble effort was organised by the All India Chiyaan Vikram Fans’ Welfare Association which met the entire expenses for the operations, right from the time of admission till discharge. “We also arrange blood donors for these operations, ” says Suryanarayanan, its president.
Speaking on this, Vikram said that the fan club raises money through appeals in prominent newspapers as they currently do not have the required infrastructure to help each and every individual who comes to them for help. However, efforts are on to form a trust which will organize such initiatives on a regular basis.
The surgery for the 33 children was recently carried out at Sri Ramachandra Hospital. The doctors too made a noble gesture by performing the surgery for free.
