My father had a failing heart. Recently he was hospitalized. My father consulted with Dr. R. Nayak and Dr. Raghavendra Bhat who are both practicing at the hospital. Hence, with their support and that of their other medical colleagues - doctors/ nurses etc., the treatment and care given to us was wonderful. Also the check-in and check-out, i.e., patient registration, billing and release have been very smooth.
While a hospital can never be home or a hotel, the care rendered by the medical staff from ER to Radiology to the room has been of very high order. Well we know the senior doctors and they are extremely talented, well known, experienced and have been looking after my family and me for years now.
There is always full transparency and understanding of the pros and cons of the treatment being adopted. And they are very patient with my father as they know his condition and also know that he understands the science behind the treatment. Without Dr. Ranga and Dr. Raghavendra, for us Vikram would be like any another super specialty hospital.
A hospital by its very own nature and rationale is supposed to treat people to health and where required, save lives if possible. Vikram fulfils this basic tenet of a hospital's existence. Across the entire spectrum of treatment, Vikram has scored excellent. Also the nursing staff is caring. Personnel who help the patient in bathing/ ablutions need to be better trained in patient care. Overall Vikram is the hospital, we will always prefer. The doctors are excellent and care given is of good order. Special mention must be made of Dr. Harshita at ER and Dr. Jhaveri from Neuro Sciences. And as always, Dr. Ranga, his secretary Kamala, Dr. R. Bhat and the Patient Relations, entire team have been wonderful!
