I admitted my mother 1 month before and she went for Fever, cold and now she is no more after being in ICU for more than a month.Initally they asked to be in ICU ward for 2 days and the Nurse, duty doctors over there is careless and due to that she lost her conscious. They shift her to ICU and there they billed us 30-40K every day and especially asked to buy medicine for 10-15k daily.There is one lady doctor Jayshree Krishnan(now she started her own clinic and joined in another big hospital in the city) to whom my mother consulted for years and she is not at all interested to treat and charged per visit and the nurse used to inform that she already visited(We are not sure whether its true or not).In case is we happened to see her and inquired she wont respond and simply say same condition with murmuring something in her mouth.With in a week doctors pushed us that we should do tractotomy operation and they charged 70K. After the above operation they said she can be shifted to normal ward still in unconscious state and with a day they made drama that she is suffering to breath and took back to ICU(they dont want to keep ICU bed vacant) this drama they did twice and finally after a month they said her pulse is getting down and she is no more.Final bill came around 8.5 Lakhs
People at the cash counter and billing section are cunning people.My mother have medical insurance for 1 lakhs and the insurance company sanctioned whole 1 lakhs but the guys at the billing counter added extra 20K to my bill saying that in the insurance clause it says that 20% to be collected from patient.(trying to chaet 40K) we argued for more than hours and finally with the letter from insurance company they agreed to remove that 20K from the bill.
They asked us to settle the whole amount right away and they are not ready to listen that we will give the chek/cc/debit card(as I cannot swipe more due to the daily limit).We some how arranged the money and the guy at the cash counter cheated us 10K as we are in deep sorrow and not in a position to realize that he cheated us.
