Unprofessional behaviour - Vijay Sales + Panasonic. Review on Vijay Sales, Pune

I am writing in to express my utter frustration and dissatisfaction about the after sales service from both Panasonic and Vijay Sales.

I had purchased an AC from Vijay Sales, Solapur Road Branch, Pune, Maharashtra on Sunday, 26-Mar-2017. At that time, I had clearly informed that I want the AC to be installed on Saturday, 1st April 2017. A couple of days after purchase I got a call from local service center inquiring about installation and I reiterated to them that I want the AC installed on Saturday, 1st April.

Just to be sure, I also called up the Panasonic customer care number(1800-108-1333) on Friday, 31st March and opened a ticket(number I-310317186287) again for installation. Therein also I was assured that the AC will be installed on 1st April. However, when I called for a confirmation on Saturday, 1st April, I was given mobile number of a local person by the name of Ayush Sharma(mobile number – 99226-88730).

When I called Ayush, he told me that it would not be possible to install the AC on Saturday – this was the first instance when commitment provided was not honored. However, when he assured me that the AC would be installed on Sunday, 2nd April, I trusted him and waited the entire day on 1st April for a confirmation which sadly did not come – this was the second instance of commitment not being honored. The same commitment was given to me by Vijay Sales customer care person Surya(mobile number- 91677-11609)

However, on Sunday, 2nd April, I was continuously following up(10:30 AM to 6:40 PM) with Surya from Vijay Sales and Ayush from Panasonic to get the time of installation as promised. Surya kept telling me that installation will happen without fail and Ayush did not even bother to pick up calls or call back or respond to messages. I literally spent the entire day from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM following up with Vijay Sales and Panasonic and I was being continuously assured by Surya and Kunal from Vijay Sales that it will be done.

You would not believe but I made 75+ calls to Vijay Sales & Panasonic between 1st & 2nd April. Yes, you read that correct, 75+ times in 2 days. I have call records to prove this.

Unfortunately, all my efforts & commitments came to a naught and when I informed Vijay Sales that I want to return the AC, they got a Panasonic representative named Mohit on the line. He also promised to get the AC installed but the promise turned out to be a false one. This was the third instance of not honoring a given commitment.

Due to this entire episode I am completely dissatisfied with both Panasonic and Vijay Sales. Not only was my AC not installed, I wasted my entire weekend doing follow ups. I feel I made a big mistake by trusting in both Vijay Sales and Panasonic.

I would recommend everyone to stay away from both these entities for any electronic purchase; Panasonic for sure. I had bought the AC from Panasonic because being a Japanese brand I trusted it to be honorable and meet all commitments. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

Now I am only waiting for Vijay sales to refund my money and pick up the AC which is lying unused at my home.

The icing on the cake was that when I had already cancelled the purchase, I got a call from the local service center that the AC would be installed on Tuesday, 4th April 2017. And I had to inform them that I do not want the AC to be installed because I have already cancelled the purchase.

The only intention behind writing this is to inform you all about things that are happening on the field so that others do not have to suffer like I did. Hopefully Panasonic & Vijay Sales will take necessary action to fix this else it and not let their reputation suffer.
