Stealing petrol - Beware & Always check the petrol level before you sign . Below is my experience

I gave my car( Spark) for service on 14-april at Vijay service center, Magadevapura . While dropping the car for service the fuel level was above the half on the fuel meter( which should be more than 15 litres). The service person called me at 5:30 pm and informed me that he is leaving the service center and should be there in my office within 30 minutes but he reached the my office only at 7:00 PM . My office is next to the KR Puram bridge and the distance to the service station is not more than 4 kilometers. I gave the money and started the car, within 2 minutes the low level fuel indicator started flashing. Someone at the service center had taken at least 10 litres of petrol without my permission. I called the service engineer on 15-april morning and informed this issue . He agreed to call me back within evening after investigating the issue but I did not receive any calls. Stealing petrol is not acceptable and GM staff should be not be doing these kind of things .I wrote a mail explaining this to their service center and also copied GM india marketing department . I got a quick response their marketing office stating someone will look into this issue.

Next day I got a call from Vijay motors and this is what they explained . The service guy called me and told me that they have used petrol for cleaning some carburetor and also did a 26 kilometers test drive to check the vehicles pulling. I am surprised that they have to drive 26 kms to check the vehicle pulling( I am not a mechanic but I can do that by driving 2 kilometers, so I do not know what kind of training they got from GM). Still I did not get an answer for missing petrol, how did it become 1/2 tank to empty?. Also there is no answer for taking 1:30 hours to travel 4 kilometers . Also my mileage reading is not showing that they had travelled 26 kms anyway so I can prove that they are wrong.

Anyway this is the last time I will be giving my vehicle for service in Vijay Motors .
