This place is one of the oldest structures in bangalore. Its a place where one simply does not visit to eat but to experience the place.
The feeling of eating at a place years older than you which has seen ages and has stories to tell.As one enters the place the smell of ghee cannot be ignored. It can get difficult to spot the place as it has a small entrance however do not be deceived by the entrance the place is huge inside compared to the small gate.Camouflaged in the hustle bustle of the busy basavangudi market this place stands proudly serving south indian food since years. The prices are nominal. Its a regular spot for many.
The people serving there are dressed in an authentic way.The way of taking orders is not so oldish.Do glance at the architecture if you happen to be there. The dosas were soaked in ghee and were thick not at all thin as one has a habit of seeing. The kesari bhath was also nice.Idlis were not the melt in mouth quality but were nice.If you are not a ghee fan maybe the place will disappoint you a bit. However if you happen to be in bangalore do visit this place once for breakfast.
