The time when every JEE aspirant wished to join VMC, Vidyamandir classes, are gone.When the three brothers started teaching(they were the only teachers), they used to teach 75-100 students(intelligent ones only, admitted through admission test for coaching classes providing assistance for admission to IIT JEE, that's the irony). And later they would come up with good results in terms of percentage which is quite expected, because those were the intelligent guys only, so what exactly is the contribution of the VMC classes as a whole.
It's well establish fact that simply training or slight guidance to good students would result in very good results, but the main focus is "what about the others - average students" - they can't bring results from average students. There is no point in joining a coaching class until they can't focus on weak or average students, because they are the majority, if everybody focuses on the good students who would focus on the average one's.
Even today VMC carve to take intelligent students only but as they have increased the number of enrollments, they result rates are dropping. Although I got admitted to the IIT after joining vidyamandir classes but it was all my effort and hard work, nothing from their side. I joined correspondence from FIITJEE and left VMC in my 12th class.
This is the time that students are taught well in schools and concepts are well established in their minds at root level itself.
