Vidhana Soudha was designed and built, by Kengal Hanumanthaiah Its foundation was laid by Jawaharlal Nehru and First Chief minister KC Reddy on 13th July 1951. Hanumanthaiah was contributory in the reform and rapid construction of Vidhana Soudha. The Initial plan was derived after visiting various monuments in Europe, USA and Russia, and the building plan for Vishana Soudha was completed. Nearly about 15 million Rupees was spent to construct the building. The building is a representation of Dravidian style. which spreads across 60 acres of land. The land scarping is well maintained even till today. BMTCs commuting towards Shivajinagar can be boarded to view this monument. Even there is Namma Metro service to this place. There is a cubbon park adjacent to this which is very good place to spend some time and to get in between greenery. For visitors its worth visiting this place and spending some time here, this is one of the main attactions in Bengaluru.
