The reason I visited this forum is that I recently bought a VCP 314i Videocon refrigerator a week back which looked like a excellent choice on features and price. I had intended to buy a Samsung refrigerator but I got duped by features and price at the Next showroom. I purchased and directly shipped it to my new home location where I was moving next week. After shifting there, when my wife started the refrigerator, it was not cooling a degree even by next day. We thought that we may have skipped something and tried contacting the customer service. After much retries we registered the complaint and the person turned up saying that the gas is leaked which do happens in transportation. Till yet we have been using other company refrigerators and I had never heard of the gas leak in refrigerator. The Samsung refrigerator in my parental house is 11 yrs and never got the problem of gas this whole time.
The technician told us somebody would come to fill the gas the next day but as per their convenience. I got responses of the poor functioning of Videocon refrigerator so got scared and visited the showroom to replace it with other trusted brand. They assured me that if it was so problematic we would not be selling this refrigerator and we would get your problem sorted today only.
We have not been able to shift to our new residence due to non functioning refrigerator and small kids and I am in dilemma that I should keep this refrigerator or take a strong stand in case it gives us hard time in the future.
