Videocon DTH is installed in my uncle's home and they always complain about its picture quality and less number of channels as well as its high price as compared to other DTH providers in India so I went there to check on the issue myself and as well as have a one on one experience with the service provider and I did find out it to be unsatisfactory due to numerous issues one of them which irritated me the most was that the remote was very slow to response, as well as the set top box that my uncle had installed, had started showing problems within 4 months of use and he had to get it replaced which was quite a trouble.
The picture quality that Videocon provides is not of that high quality as you will expect from other DTH providers as the channels some of which have grainy images as well as network service delays and errors.
Sound reception of the DTH was satisfactory but I won't say that it was great.
Value for money wise I would not say that Videocon did a great job as it provides a few number of channels against other DTH providers with the same amount of plan that my uncle has subscribed to so the price is a bit high which does not match with its service and quality.
As reported to me by my uncle the service and support of Videocon are not satisfactory as the service person who comes to repair and install the setup box where most of the time rude and charged high fees.
