Never buy videocon semi automatic washing machines. The spin tub of our NYLE machine purchased 3 months back works whimsically right from day one - sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Service engineers from videocon are unable to resolve issue. They are very rude and some of them it seems are local goons. One of them even reported back that he had attended our complaint without even visitng our house. Call centre people are no better.
I have spent money to purchase the machine. But Videocon representatives say that I am complaining about it for no reason. implication is that I am lying and that my complaint is imaginary.
The showroom people were helpful to a certain degree and changed the machine twice. But problem persists which Videocon refuses to even acknowledge.
Today, just after three months the cover of the spin tub simply flew away. Service people tell us that it is plastic and not covered by guarantee. In any case, they say, it is plastic and can break anytime! I can't understand why they charge money for such a thing since the body is also made of plastic.
A man in the Videocon showroom(Renu & Co, DIGIworld in Jagat Farm Greater Noida) who identified himself as Bhalla and claimed to be the NOIDA distributor of Videocon, even went to the extent of saying that I should stop bothering the showroom people and approach the consumer courts. Is Jago Grahak Jago a joke? Well, Videocon at least seem to think so.
