This movie literally made me to write this review. A beautiful piece of art done with some brilliant cinematography and scintillating metaphors is the simplest possible description of this movie.A very natural and realistic movie devoid of any larger than life heros and unbelievable stunts.
This movie is Narrated by Murugesh(Pasupathi) who is a normal child growing in a small and beautiful village.His brother Kadhir(BHARATH) shares a special bond with him.They both are a little mischevious while the younger one steals the show(Hats off to the child who played this role).While they are in a trail of mischiefs, the elder brother is caught redhanded by thier father who humiliates and agonises him in the name of punishment.The boy runs away from the house, taking with him some money and jewels.
Two brothers, go in a different path. The elder one goes away, loses the money he got from home and joins a Cinema Theater as an operator.He continues his life as an operator for 21 years and finds a love there.The younger brother grows with the family and starts an advertising agency.He also finds a love here.So run the seperate tracks untill tragedy strikes in the elder brother's life repeatedly.His love dies, he loses his job and he is pennyless.Hence he returns to his native village as a loser against his dreams of returning there as a well to do person. He is devastated when his father, on seeing him after a period of 21 years calls him a thief.So he tries to leave the village.
On his way, he meets his special brother and identifies him.Kadhir, brings him back home and keeps him with the family.On all occasions, the elder brother notes that the total love and affection of the entire family is with his brother.Life goes by for him.He meets humiliation in all walks as he is not earning.This humiliation goes to the peak when some jewels were missing from the house.His father blames him for he has done it before.But they come to know that thier daughter had taken them to show her friends, This man's heart breaks and he leaves home again.
Then theres trouble for his younger brother and he kills all those who caused trouble for his younger brother and dies doing the same thereby giving life to his brother.
The Metaphores are a plenty in this film. You have to watch more closely to note them.This film goes at a pretty good pace from the begining till the end.Good scene correlations, great picturisations and all.This is a definite break for both Bharath and Pasupathi. Pasupathi needs more than a million Hats-Off for his brilliant performance.He has been proving himself for a while, his capabilities which are mind blowing
A complete mixture of Sentiment, Violence, Reality and Mischief.
