I know this theater for over 15 yrs and this is one of my first known theaters. Well I never watched a movie in this theater until 2004 and for the first time I watched the movie "Manmadhan" in dec 2004. Its was a 4:30 pm show. We bunked out classes from college and watched the movie.
In 2004, the theater was a very local theater with no AC. Has a good parking space with lot of free seat(just about 10% full). And I think since it was a Simbu's movie, these was no crowd at all. The Seats wer all wooden and no push back at all. We only have to watch the movies under the fan!
But even thou it was not a deluxe theater, the enjoyment was at peak. U can sit in wat ever posture u want and even exchange seat and watch freely.
Its has a large Screen and DTS. And the Video and sound clarity are all good. The Ticket for the show was just around Rs.40.!
As of now in 2015, the Theater has been renovated to compete the other best theaters in Chennai with cushioned seats and Centralized AC. The interiors are well re-modified with latest technologies like Fire alarm system and Auto temperature control.
Today most of the new releases gets release in this theater too and especially sometimes the preview shows are put up here. During Film releases of actor Rajini, kamal, Vijay, suriya, Ajith and Vikram, The theater gets converted into a Festive place.!
But even after renovations, The people visit here vary from different classes. Even the drunk and rowdies visit this theater often!
Overall, Today this is one the best theaters especially for the die hard Fans!
