I hope this reads up as just vet clinics when I post this review.
One of the things I look for in a vet is the same thing I look for in a human doctor and that is bedside manner. Your pet is scared enough going to a vet that they don't need a grouchy one when they get there.
I had been using one clinic for quite awhile and liked the vet I had for my cats and he took on a partner and we got transferred to her. My cat Spotty had a mouth infection and she was scraping his gums with her fingernails which hurt him so he squirmed a little. He never tried to bite or scratch her but because he squirmed she hit him across the top of the head. What I said to her I can not repeat here but my cats never went back to that clinic.
I also check to make sure they have 24 hour service and that they make emergency house calls if need be and of course I ask around about them.
I have one now that is great and really cares about the animals and will take there time to calm the animal down and to talk to me. He even allows me to stay in the room for the exam which helps calm the cat even more.
They have one waiting room for dogs and one for cats which is great and makes it a more pleasant experience.
In other words I look for the same type of doctor for my animals as I would for myself.
