Till recently, at least facility was good, nowadays even that also having less standard..reg work - mostly driven by onshore mgmt, local mgmt jus say ’Yes’ to whatever they say & eat the life of vdsi India employees..HR - as usual, just behave like clerks to mgmt, never been interested to at least listen to employee problems.. most of employees doesn't even know who’s their HR point of contact!!
If you just do whatever mgmt says, you may get decent appraisals & promotions. Else, as per renewed policies you may be tortured in the name of PIP ( perf improvement plan) & then thrown out..Most of Sr. project Mgrs don't even know , ’wat is mgmt’ or ’wat is project’, program mgrs dunno ’wat is program’
all they know is ’Sure’ or ’yes boss’ to their superiors..
Indian management has become worst after former MD , Rahul Saxena left the org .. at least he was listening to employee concerns.. new M.D Santhosh Bijur has only one solution for everything "Fire the employee",
as per his latest policy , they can fire anyone with a meaningless process called performance improvement plan, anytime.. sometimes you feel doubted whether you are living in ’our’ independent India.. or still we are slaves. (earlier it was Britain’s east India company, Now is it Verizon??!! ) "Hundreds of people been asked to leave or fired withing last few months.."
They say budget constraint as reason for not giving even a spot award worth of 2000rs to employees.
but corresponding delivery head will be travelling from hyd to chennai & stay in leadin star hotel "even for months"!! ~ thats the value they have for employees.
The process of performance appraisal will be the most comediest part in vdsi life.
They say so many things as ’policies’, but in the end the "Final decision’ will be made only by the so-called manager who dont even know wat is a project or wat is management.
Managers never do any project estimations, but experts in keeping knife on employee throats to deliver on time.
HR’s can never understand the complexity of work, , but wil just see wat the manager says ’work is not complete’.
Best place - if you jus want to live in chennai or Hyderabad without havin any high ambitions. If spending atleast 2 days of weekend per month in office, doesnt matter for you
