Triumphant (Walking bare feet all the way). Review on Venkateswara Temple, Tirumala

The walk from Alipiri gate to temple(~12 km) tests every part of the body and mind. One may rethink about the decision to walk instead of a lovely bus ride till the temple gates with a special pass of 300/-, but its one journey to be lived, remembered, talked and cherished. The pathway is all perfectly paved with roof and provided with ample water points. Deer park in the mid way lets one ease off and forget the ordeal thus far. it comes~2500 steps after and Deers are super friendly. We fed them bananas and Glocon-D:-)

Nearly took us 5 hours on foot. Didn't actually visit the inside of the temple because of a dislike for the basic idea of God selling done at the top. Standing in the queues of different rates is just beyond my comprehension. We did meditate in the temple compound though and it was more satiating. Anyway did see other wonders in the vicinity. Srivari Paadalu, Sila Thoranam and Chakra Theertham. Returned by bus considering tomorrow's return self drive. The entire city is visible from the top. Just an awesome journey.

Tips.

.Drink a lot of fluid - Water and Glucose

.Rest in between and meditate

.First 2000 steps are the deal. Will test everything. Then, the steps get easier.

.Last 800 odd steps are killing . take it easy;-)

.Can carry your stuff but walkway haz to be on bare feet, so ensure to arrange accordingly

.The ghat road is beautiful and one way

.Bus tickets cost 53/- and 1 hour of return journey till the Tirupathi bus stand

.Dress Code= Traditional wear advised to avoid unnecessary arguments. Keep an extra pair to change after the arduous ordeal of walking
