We visited this place near Besant Nagar beach as it was very close and they offered a buffet for just Rs 250, we should have got the signal then and there. My liking for buffets almost destroyed a pleasant evening.
Ambiance - Very good given the price at which it offers the buffet. A very off beat style, looks more like a cave, the lighting also suited the ambiance but there were problems with the ventilation. Overall the place has been set up very well. But this is were the buck stops. Everything do downhill from here.
Food and Service - The management was a bit rude when we complained to them about the food, looks like they don't like criticism. Food too wasn't great either. The quantities or the quality of dishes served at a roadside stall would be far better than this place, everything came at a single piece and additional was chargeable. The curries were very watery and tasted as if the water had been added after it was made. Even the dosas for which Chennai is known for was bad. And we had to wait for more than 10 mins for the starters to start. We spend more time waiting for food than eating it.
Overall what started with a negative vibe ended in a disaster. One of my friends actually had an argument with the staff and compained to the manager who did not heed it.
Never to this place again. My rating 1/5
