No, this is not a review, but just my experience in watching the movie voted as the best in the IIFA awards...(can anyone really keep a track of these hazar awards?????)

Ok, the only reason I watched this movie was that I had paid Rs.200.....not for the movie but for my seat in front row of the Mumbai-Pune Volvo bus...and the only other option I had was to look out of my window seat to watch a truck spewing fumes and a Maruti Zen trying its best to weave its way out from the traffic jam...So in these enticing settings, Veer Zaara didnt seem that bad an option.

The movie started......by the time the movie was halfway through, I was cringing enough to give the buswala ideas to accomodate another passenger in my seat.....Why the hell are the politicians wasting time in getting the visa processes simplified, Preity/SRK/Rani travel between India-Pak with more ease than I do in the local trains every day!!....No problems with the Border Security, customs, immigration,etc.etc.....all you need to be is to be in ''lou'' with a person from across the border, spew dialogues like ''Hindustan ki saari maaein aisihi hoti hain '' (I cringed the most here, the buswala almost made one more gal share my seat!!)....and voila!! you are across the border.

Hey!certain things I noticed in Veer-Zaara... I didnt know jeans were that popular in 60s-70s-80s or whatever era the movie was based in...(surprisingly, dont recollect Big B or Shammi Kapoor in jeans!!) And girls, travel in north India was Oh! so easy and safe at the same time!! Fabulous!!

The songs were the only saving grace, but they were too many. As for acting..........hehehehehe.......SRK was sleepwalking. Thank god that he leaves the air force voluntarily, he would've been kicked out for the long hair anyways.....didnt know his voice is booming enough to be heard over the chopper blades (the scene when he airlifts Preity). Rest were all the same, except that Big B was exceptionally over the top.

Thankfully the bus reached Pune before the movie could end........but that was not the end of my experience........I met similar fate on the return journey....and no matter how much I protested, I HAD to watch SAME movie TILL THE END.........only thing I could tell myself was Dheer Dhara....be patient!!
