Love stories rock if presented well. Review on Veer-Zara

Till the intermission, I found the movie a typical song-dance, showing punjab, greenery et al. I dont usually appreciate the nonsense & melodrama shown in our movies. But you just cant escape that when it comes to conventional dramas.

But then, post intermission, the story returned concentrated and caught grip. It was a good idea to create another epic love story (likes of heer ranjha, romeo juliet, etc.) And I think the story though not exactly innovative but had enough substance.

Everything else as is in yashraj films was sleek. Music is average. Somehow, shahrukh and amitabh dont go well is my opinion. I think casting boman irani in a serious role dint suit as he has just emerged in a comic image. I also feel that amitabh is kinda present everyewhere(so many ads and movies) and hence a different cast could have been interesting. Hema malini for me is still unacceptable as a punjabi character!

Nevertheless good entertainment and ladies can have full cry!
