I happened to go on a package tour to south east Asia with Veena World this May. The tour was generally managed and conducted ok.
All in all the tour experience was good. However, experience with their booking office and travel counselors was horrible. I am surprised that a company in an area like this, which requires heavy people interaction and that giving good experience to their customers is so very important being in this line, would be so lax and frustratingly unresponsive.
Once we had finalized and booked the tour, it were we who would have to constantly ask for information, chase for the same as we needed guidance for various things like visa applications etc.
Between our booking and the actual tour, the itinerary was changed twice, and we were informed only incidentally as we were inquiring about things. Interestingly once when I called their toll free number to ask for help, as we were not getting response from the travel counselor, they gave a reply saying that they will inform the travel counselor(?)
I mean come on, the whole reason I am calling the head office is that the travel counselor is simply not responding or communicating at all! There were other instances too and in the end I knew that I just got this wrong. I am not sure if this can be generalized but I seriously don't think I will give another chance to such a company.
