So I bought a beautiful white summer shirt and decided to wear it the very next afternoon for a girls lunch out. It was a great lunch and I had one of the best pasta's I've had in a ...well a few months ( At Big Chill, Khan Market Delhi, if you must know).
Remembering as I did about my brand new pretty top, I stayed away from the table and patted myself on the back for not getting even a teeny tiny drop of sauce on my shirt. Done with lunch, I decided to get the left overs packed ( the serving size is good too!...this is a twin review for the price of one, isn't it!) Anyhow, the "lets get it packed" was what did it to my pristine white shirt. By the time I reached my car and set down the packet, I realised that some of the sauce had leaked through the eco-friendly but fairly useless bag that they gave me the left-overs in.
Cut to one night and one day of mourning over lost (figuratively) shirt plus kicking of self to remind self to not buy white or ever eat again, if in white, get it dyed (which I never would for reasons of laziness)
I was getting ready to pack away the shirt in the back of the closet when I chanced on a free sample of Vanish Stain Remover that I'd gotten free with something else I'd bought. I decided to give it a shot. I put in a good amount of the stuff in a biggish plastic container, put water in in it, soaked the stained portion( not the entire thing for fear of spreading) for about 1.5 hours. Then took it out and rubbed it till my knuckles hurt.
But...Voila! its was gone, choley gaichchey! Vanished!
I am glad to have my shirt back and will never ever wear it if I am going to eat/carry food...even if I am offered free pasta at Big Chill, Khan Market :)
