MY FAVORITE DRINK. Review on Vanilla Coke

I was so happy when VANILLA COCA-COLA finally arrived in Canada, (there is not diet Vanilla Coca-Cola). This product does have sugar, (that is a natural product), so I make sure I don't drink more than 2 cans a week.

~. THE CAN .~

You can buy Coca Cola in small and large bottles but I prefer to buy it in a 12 can box. I can taste the plastic in the bottle.

The can is easy to recognize as it is a bright red color with a white written logo that spells out Vanilla Coca Cola.

It is easy to open with the pull back tab.

~. THE POUR .~

I always drink Coke over a lot of ice. When I pour the Coke into a glass there is a lot of foam. To stop the foam from running over the glass I put one finger on top of the glass and the foam begins to go down. Please don't drink it until all the foam has gone because if you don't you'll get a lot of gas. (Burp).

~. The Formula .~

''Vanilla extract, water, sugar, cola extract, citric acid, caffeine citrate and lime juice.'' I'm sure there is more but that is all I could see on the can and most Companies like to keep their ingredients a secret.

~. SOME THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW .~

In one 12 ounce can: ''There is no fat or protein. There are 160 calories, 0.50 grams of carbs, 55 mg. of sodium and 50 grams of sugar.''

~.SOME INTERESTING INFORMATION ABOUT THE COMPANY, (from their information) ~

''The drink began in a Candy Store that was owned by Joseph A. Biedenharn. The Store was in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He just wanted to make a drink to sell to his customers. The first drinks that were bottled in something called a ''Hutchinson''.

The drink was an instant hit and Mr. Biedenharn sent a case to Asa Griggs Candler who was the owner of the Coca Cola Company’’. The rest of the Story I am sure you know.

Today the Company is base in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. At their Company there they have built The World of Coca-Cola. This is one of Atlanta’s Tourist Attractions’’.

~. THE COMPANY MAKES MANY OTHER TYPE OF THINGS.~

I could not believe it when I read, (from their page): ''they make 230 brands of nonalcoholic beverage and the formula is different in other areas of the World. They say they make Coke with Apricots, Coffee and Lychee Nuts’.'' I would love to try those!

I did know that Coke is sold around the World as I have bottles from Israel, Hong Kong and Greece. I also know that they make soft drinks, fruit juices, bottled waters and sports drinks that are available to us in Canada. I have tried Coke with Cherries, Orange, Lemon and the new Vanilla flavor. I enjoyed them as well and I do drink them just for a change. I always go back to the Original Coca-Cola.

The COMPANY also makes a lot of different collectable. I have a few trays and my Husband has a few Base Ball Caps.

~. DOES IT QUENCH MY THIRST? .~

~. THE ADS .~

There have been many ads but the one I like the best is ''It's the Real Thing''.

No soda pop quenches my thirst for more than a few minutes.

~. HEALTH FACTOR .~

No soda pop is healthy for you to drink. Coke does contain Caffeine which can be addictive, (my girlfriend who never drinks liqueur drank 2 large bottles a day). If you drink to much Coke you may cause an ulcer to develop in your stomach.

~. RECIPES USING COCA-COLA .~

• You can use regular Coke or Vanila Coke.

1) A BROWN COW

Put one scoop of vanilla ice cream in a large glass.

Add one tsp. of chocolate syrup.

Fill the glass with Coca Cola.

2) I make a Coke Float by adding Ice Cream. I make an Egg Cream by adding Ice Cream and Soda.

3) I use it as a mix when I drink Rum and Canadian Rye, (not American Rye).

4) If you are dizzy or sick to your stomach put a cup of Coke into a pot and bring it to a boil. Let it cool down a bit and then sip it. You'll find this will help.
