Let me make it clear that I am not from Vl Marketing or HR and I worked in VL more than 4 years back. I was really lucky to have a great manager and very helpful collegues who were more of friends.
Pros:
Great team and fellow collegues with a great Manager
No regional or Andhra feeling in the company.
Excellent Infrastructure with the available space, loved the garden on the terrace, TT, relaxing area and Meditation Room.
Free food( though u ll get bored after some time but it is an incredible achievement to provide free food and very few companies provide free food) and really good quality Snacks.
No closed cabin culture, you can go and speak to Managers, directors and even CEO if there are genuine concerns or you have some ideas for improvement.
In my case, I had good rapport with HR and other departments, my exit from VL was very smooth and they were really lovely group of people.
Cons
As a fresher, salary was a bit less compared to other players in the market in a similar SME category.
There are no clear cut responsibilities defined.
My five cents: With little available experience I have gathered till now,
Have good rapport with people, we tend to like or hate a place based on our relationship with people in that place.
There are lot of opportunities for improvement, we need to look out for the right chance
Try to smile at your director sometime, talk with him if there is an opportunity.
Cant comment on the salary part but with all other points you are not happy, Just Go off without spreading that unhappiness to other people. Atlast the company has given us food and respect in the society, dont bad mouth it.
All the very best
