Vaishno devi or shera wali mata or call her by any other name, SHE is the greatest of all. Full fill the dreams in minutes, grants you the wishes in fraction of Sec and takes care of you even without asked for.
I have been over there for numerous times as am blessed to be a resident of JAMMU.
lets describe the Journey...
Take a bus from jammu, you get one from railway station or from bus stand, one almost every 10 to 20 minutes and it’s a journey of around one and half hours. I prefer taking one in the evening around 5.30 to 6.00 pm
Reach katra..., take your Yatra slip ( its very imp). Relax a bit , take some light food and start your journey..Dont carry too much of baggage with you.
There are three ways to go, By walk, take a pony ride or for elderly, take a PALKI.
If you are walking , there are two routes one by stairs, one by road.. Tough stairs is sure short cut, its very tiring too. You should use a mix of two.
The first stop is ban ganga , where can try a bath if you like
The official first stop is Charan paduka, where Mata ji rested for a while when baron was trying to chase her. you also can take a rest for a while.
One tip is that keep on drinking water all you way and keep on nibbling some thing or the other.
then you reach adhkuwari, which is half way and you can take the DRASHAN of darb june and temple...
Keep on treading the way and you will reach sanjhi chat and then to Bhawan.
At Bhawan , they will give to time as per the yatra slip number,, There are numerous rooms made by Shrine board and you can take one of them to relax.
take a fresh water bath ( cool one) and then proceed for your divine meeting... Th whole atmosphere over there is a serene and pious one which makes you feel that you are in heaven.
You feel divine when you come one to one with Pindis and your self and you would feel all barriers removed, all night trek a worth and your life an elevated one.
Come out; enjoy the Prasad of halwa and puri...
And go back home with a promise to come back again next year...
