If asked to describe this place in a single word, it would simply be EUPHORIC.
The simplistic branch of Roopali (formerly Madras Cafe) has gone places in 60-70 years after its opening.
There are many places which serve quality food, but the main attribute which places Vaishali in a position of prominence in the profile of Pune, is the hospitality, the warmth, the enthusiasm and the inherent joyfulness you feel at this place.
The restaurant serves mainly Udipi food, besides a few chaat items, especially the widely popular SPDP. The food is not only of top quality, but if you ask somebody whos been frequenting the place for more than 10 years (there are many), you will learn that not only the quality, but even the taste has remained unchanged over the years.
Vaishali is located in the heart of the city, on FC road, one of the busiest roads in the city, and is constantly flocked, mainly due to its proximity to 3 colleges.
Its a result of pure quality (food and service), and the hospitality, that has resulted in vaishali still being the most crowded place in town in spite of opening of all the 'Cafe Coffee Day's, 'Baristas', and 'Subway's of the world in its close viscinity.
I've been visiting the place since 5 years now, and take it from me, it's not only one good hangout place, but has become a part of lifestyle for many.
