WHAT DID I EXPECT

Here comes another Ram Gopal Verma movie, and what did I expect? I expected some copying and some thrill. Both were there, but it still think that this movie got something wrong in it seriously. I think that there may be a serious spelling mistake which made this movie a bit annoying, but still it is a good attempt.

Just like the other creepy one - Bhoot, this one has a couple, a maid and a creepy place (flat is replace by house, may be to give an Evil Dead feeling). A kid is there, may be to give it an impression of the Sixth Sense.

The gorgeous sister is to add glamour to the movie and an extra one to kill for our ghostly family - even Dracula likes to kill beautiful women. The atmosphere and the ghosts too get us back to out Bhoot movie. ''The Shining'' and ''The Others'' too seems to have something to do in the movie.

WHAT DID I GET?

Virag (Chekravarthy) and Jhilmil (Sushmita Sen) are the couple going to face the wrath of the ghosts this time. Their son Rohan (Ahsaas Channa) is also there. Radhika (Peeya Rai Choudhuri), Jhilmil's younger sister, also lives with them - she got no family home? Jhilmil works as a general physician in a hospital in Pune.

Virag is a writer and he makes a good house wife I mean ''house husband''. They shifts their home to Shanti Kutir at the outskirts of Pune - what a luck for the ghosts! Rohan happens to come across some strange incidents that no one believes, but suddenly Rohan's stories are becoming more and more real.

The maid is really a thief gets killed. Later, Radhika and her boyfriend are found dead. The police inspector (Sayaji Shinde) who comes to investigate on the case thinks it's the work of a serial killer, but we know that there is something more behind it. We know what is going to be in a haunted mansion.

And to add to the danger, a banyan tree is there - its too creepy and you will know that something is in it right from the beginning. But I still I don't know where the ghost come from from. The story just seems to have some loose connections somewhere.

The way in which the ghosts which were friendly to the kid became hostile is not explained too. I can't understand why this kid is not afraid of ghosts? He is little Dracula himself? If you want the answer for any questions you will come across after watching the movie, try to write the remaining of the script yourself.

Otherwise you will not get any answer. Else, we will need to have a ''phone the script writer'' session in the television. A movie of mysteries.....doesn't we have the right to get the answers we need in exchange of the money we spend?

OH MY GOODNESS

Susmita Sen looks good and does her part well with good emotional skills and so does Chakraverthy. Ahsaas looks really good and he seems to have got good skill in acting. Peeya looks gorgeous and she looks good in the movie.

Actually there seems to be a need in the movie to do some revealing and to get into the shower and the towel as well as to make love with the boyfriend. They have to follow the current Bollywood trend, shouldn't they? Especially with a Malika Sherawat and the followers on the loose.

All others do their part well enough, but the special effects fail to impress. They can't be called effects, they looks like some cartoon movie or animation. It looks like a partial copy from ''The Mummy'' (but it was good in Hollywood!) when the ghosts disappear with the banyan tree. But the sound is good as it adds some horror to the movie. I have to say that some of the horror looks like comedy - its too funny to be scary at times.

HIGHLY PREDICTABLE

I don't think that there is going to be any other movie more predictable than this. We were able to predict what was going to happen after each scene! I think that I can write a script instead of this review!

1) The ball stays in the air and when Chakravorthy looks back, it falls down.

2) When Chakravorthy is sitting in front of his laptop, the ghost is behind him, but it disappears as Peeya comes in.

3) When Peeya looks under the bed, her boy friend is not there.

4) When Susmita gets into the house, the ghosts are inside.

5) When Susmita gets in the car, the ghost is inside.

6) They are to disappear when the banyan tree is destroyed.

7) We even predicted the final concluding scene involving the kid.....

and the rest I managed to forget.....

IS THAT ALL?

The final scene seems to be giving you the impression that te story has not ended. I hate movies which has no perfect ending. You may be forced to see this movie as there are not much choice - ''Kis Kis Ki Kismat'', ''Pop Corn Khao Mast Ho Jaavo'', ''Tauba Tauba'' and ''Bride and Prejudice'' - all fails to impress which makes this movie a better choice.

The movie fails to stay upto the expectations, but you have no choice - but to adjust with it. It is a half-scary movie, that is it got a tendency to scare at every moment, but suceeds only on a few occasions. Actually, I don't find this one anything different from the Bhoot. Both are inspired- I mean copied from English movies, thats all. Take a trip with the bloody ghosts in the movie.
