I did an extensive research for over 1 Month Scouring the internet for Televisions and prices, Found vu to be the cheapest in terms of the technology and the size that they offer., I did a visual comparision of the Sony and the Samsung 65UNH8000 the comparision was between the 2.
Samsung 65UNH8000 Smart curved television was priced @ 214000 whereas the VU 3D Smart tv was priced at 135000/- So obviously hand down on the price VU is a deffinate winner.
I Bought the VU due to the price and other sensibilities after taking all my gadgets at the store which only they allow the other companies do not allow for this in store since most of them are sold through dealers who are trying their best to push their highest Percentage products in terms of commission, no other company even keeps their television for fear that nothing of theirs will even sell, however when asked the Vu Vendor he said it was due to cross marketing.
I recommend anyone buying a television set to take all their Peripherals to the showroom and playing your components prior to deciding the television of their choice. NET FLIX does not exisit in India so that component is of no use to anyone. So see if it works and the resoulution is per your requirement.
Buyer Beware Curved TV is a Stupidity if you are having a distance of over 10 Feet since it will be invisible you have to be close to the Television to see the real effects of curve.!
OK so here it goes the pros and cons
PRO"S
a. Amazing Service in Store the guys are super helpful and nice.
b. The Best in price there is no doubt about that.
c. 4K Technology does not exist as yet so dont try and push for that service it will take atleast 1 year to make this technology available so in case you can afford to change all your peripherals to 4k and buying expensive movies and Set top Boxes only then go in for this technology
d. Installation process is easy and simple you can do it yourself if you are not Wall Mounting the television. In case you are you have to wait for the Service staff to come in and load the same.
Con's
a. The motion mentioned in the previous review is a problem there is a slight lag in the Motion so if you are watching Animated movies or anything that has a very high speed motion you will actually land up seeing the lag in the motion especially in a big screen I think they will not have such problems in a 55 or a 40 inch television since the Vision is more compressed.
b. The Smart tv You tube does not run since it keeps giving some problems about certificate which I did not understand.
c. does not have Audio out ARC for avid music listeners it could be a problem.
d. Volume of the television is not great so I recommend investing in a good Audio output.,
Cannot compare to Samsung Technology but ofcourse Samsung comes at 3 times the price for a similar product., . So all in all its a great Buy if 4K is the only reason you are changing your television I recommend waiting it out for atleast 8 Months for the prices to fall during the RepuRobotouchc day sale .
Final word. VU is a great large tv affordable and convenient buy as against similar products in the market which are expensive and in the finality offer the same views.
