I was never obese until my twenties. I am about to get married and went to vlcc for weight loss treatment. I registered for the timmy tucks and was told to pay 40k which really made me take a back seat. I was told that I would be given services till my weight would reduce upto 70 kgs.( right now I am 85.4 kgs. They assured that within 2 months I would achieve my target weight loss. I did pay the amount as it seemed to be the only hope for me to loose weight.
I was supposed to attend their centres daily have a seating of 20 min. I followed the schedule very religiously. They also told me to cut out on the sugars, rice, sweets, breads, oily fried stuff. I made sure that I did not violate any of their diets advised.
To describe the procedure they used to do there I would say they think we are absolute fools. They tell us to drink water before their sessions. We are supposed to weigh us after drinking water then go for the(cellophane - is probably what they call it) machine. There they subject us to vibrations making us sweat. They tell us that these vibrations make us loose fat. Ok taken for granted that this reduces my fat( Although I understand that fat cannot be removed externally by sweating).
After the session is over we are supposed to urinate( so called toxins removal) and then weigh ourselves again. I lost 600 gms in my 1st session which really sounds great. Unfortunately that is all thats true about their treatments. Now its obvious that I am going to reduce some weight since I have urinated, may be around 150 - 200 gms still I lost not less than 450 - 400gms. BUT I was then informed that I have to maintain this wait till the next session. I came the next day and found that I had regained 650 gms of weight that I had lost I was now 85.45kgs.
On this the female there tells me that it is my fault that I have regained my weight. They had done their work of reducing my weight but I did not maintain it. She also told me that I would not receive my further treatments until I came back with that lost weight of 600 gms. Now I dont understand what sort of a policy is this. After making a huge issue of the whole thing she agreed to continue my sessions but reminded me that they are not at fault if I dont loose weight.
I never broke any of the rules and guidelines regarding diet, sleep and exercises provided by them but even then they blame me for their useless therapies. I continued their treatments for 1 week and could realize that this is just a way of making me fool of me. I claimed my money back and I am now in the proceedings of filling a complaint in the consumer court if they dont return me my money
Trying to undestand the whole procedure it is very obvious that I never lost any of my fat. What was happening is pretty simple, they made me temporarily lose my weight by making me sweat - that implies water loss which is bound to be regained when I drink even the slightest of water. It is probably the body restorative mechanism where it maintains a specific water balance within the body. So I never lost weight in its real sense. Stay Away from such false people who make use of glamour and nice looking interiors to impress you and take your money
