Very Large Cheating Center (VLCC). Review on VLCC - Bangalore

First of all, let me tell you something about myself. I am 36 Years old, software professional, working in Bangalore since last 13 years. My lifestyle (as the case is with most of the software professionals) is not very active and does not involve much physical activities. Also, I have extra pounds since childhood. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 101Kgs.

As I move towards my 40s, I decided to shed my weight. To be frank, I was lured by the advertisements and the pictures of some jokers they show with BEFORE and AFTER images. So finally I decided to join the Palace Road Bangalore VLCC center (membership number 977/06). My membership includes (as told by the marketing lady, but nothing on paper)-

1.   20 Kgs Weight Reduction (Rs 25, 000)

2.   15 Chest Tuck

3.   15 Tummy Tuck

4.   15 Body Tuck (Rs 20, 000 for all the tucks)

The package was a guarantee to reduce the weight and 1 year maintenance after that. Now the cost part. The entire package was 50, 000/- (after much of negotiations).

I started attending the sessions and in the first 3-4 months there was no change in my weight. after that I started reducing the weight a little bit. I think that was because of, I was on a strict diet and nothing to do with the VLCC sessions. After every session, I would reduce 100-150 grams but would gain the same weight next day so that was the mystry for me.

The problem started when I had to go to US in Oct 2007 (after around 10 months of joining VLCC). It was a short notice ( I was asked to go very next day) and I could not visit VLCC to sign the break letter but I informed them over the phone that I will not be able to come for next 2 months. I was told that generally, the clients have to sign the break letter but since I could not visit, they will accept my break. Unfortunately, my US visit got extended to 4 months and when I came back, VLCC refused to continue the package. The reasons given were -

1.   I had not signed the break letter.

2.   The package validity was only for 1 year

3.   I have already reduced 20 Kgs (I will explain lated how)

Now the explanation...

1. I had not signed the Break Letter - When I called these cheaters, they agreed that they can consider my break without signing the break letter then why there was fuss for that??

2.  The package validity was only for one year - These cheaters maintain a log book where you need to sign after every visit. All the terms and conditions are mentioned in that book. If you mention all the terms and conditions for client and dont even show them then how the clients are supposed to know? Also, if the validity was only for 1 year then what happened to that 20 Kg weight reduction guarantee??

3. I have already reduced 20 Kgs - When you visit their center, after the session, you will loose around 100 Gms which you will gain withing hours after the session. But, these cheaters will keep adding those grams and one fine day, you will come to know that your weight is reduced as per the package and they will send you home. In reality, you might not have lost even a single Kg.

Now, lets talk about the quality of equipment they have. Before that, those who do not know the VLCC procees, they use some electric equipment (something like ECG) which is connected to your different body parts and, which vibrates at different frequencies. If it is set to very high frequency, you may feel like getting 240V shock. The process is, they will connect the wires to different body parts and start the machine at very low frequency and start increasing the frequency untill you say STOP (depends how much pain you can bear).  If you dont ask the operator to STOP, he will keep increasing the frequency thinking that you are fine with that high frequency (or shock).

Now back to the quality of the equipment. The wires connected to the machine have loose connections. So when the wires are connected to your body, and machine is started, because of loose connections, you dont get the vibrations but you may think that the machine is set to very low frequency and you are not feeling the vibrations so the operator keeps increasing the frequency (unaware that there is a loose connection and you think that the frequency is low) finally when the frequency is set to maximum and you still dont get the vibration, the operator realizes that there is a loose connection and he will tighten the probes (without reducing the frequency) and suddenly you get like 440V shock (since the frequency is set to maximum).

Another thing is, once you join, they will insist on buying there different products like oil, gel, etc and if you dont buy them, they will treat you like you are a sub-standard person.

I have a lot to write but, in short, I would say never join these cheaters. They are the day light robbers. I have lost my 50, 000/- with these cheaters.
