Started off in 2000 using a Handspring(Palm OS) PDA, then moved to a Treo180(again a palm OS PDA, but with a phone built in), and for the last couple of years have been using an Ipaq 6300 series Pocket-PC PDA Phone.
Don't really know if the Pocket PC has any huge advantages over PDAs using Palm or even Symbian OS, after all, they too integrate excellently with Microsoft office(allowing for viewing and editing Word/excel files) Intergartion wih outlook is superb too. One has to admit though, carrying one of those Pocket PC phones/PDAs DOES turn heads(mostly because they are so darn expensive and oversized) Also, the comfort of seeing an interface that's analogous to one's desktop(right down to the crashes/hangs/reboots. some very fine detailing there)
The problems I find with my phone are almost always related to the way windows screws handles simple things, which somehow Palm OS seems to sail through effortlessly. for instance things like working with a bluetooth handsfree. connecting can be very erratic(for the record, the earpiece is a Sony Ericsson model) Some other major irritations: The signal strength on network just never seems strong enough: While my other colleagues comfortably carry on conversations in low network areas on their Nokia phones, this phone of mine just refuses to make/receive calls; believe it or not, getting a call through to this phone takes LONGER. and then, even after one presses the "Answer" button, it takes a good 4-5 seconds before one can hear/talk to the calling party; Software bugs like apps opening up randomly when calls come in. etc. etc.
One really wonders if a Pocket PC PDA/Phone is worth the money(and suffering)
