Air Conditioners are any time better choice for cooling needs, however not every one can afford it. Air Conditioners have sky-high prizes; they consume tremendous power resulting in high electric bill. Fixing and interior changes cost differently. The Point is they aren’t just suitable for a middle class family like ours with a three-room kitchen flat or double bedroom block. Ceiling fans have limited range of cooling and are inflexible, immobile to cover all areas of the room. Especially when you come from a scorching October heat or sweating summer you want instant cooling. Ceiling fans are more for uniform and gradual cooling. In such cases Table fans come handy. You can use them to give you air in just one direction or keep them in rotating mode for uniform cooling. Expanse or sweep area is less than that of ceiling fan but them you can move you table anywhere you want. For its lightweight and small size table fans are used in various places apart from house.

Table fans also have variety in its model structure. Some have long pedestal, others are as small as exhaust fans. Small table fans running on battery are also available. I have seen one guy in crowded Local train using a mini fan. We could call it a hand fan or something else. The previous table fan I discussed was a Usha TableMagicAir table fan with a mini rod support around which the fan rotates in 180 degree. There are three wide blades made of hard plastic to give a controlled airflow. In ceiling fans the blades are made of metal. As we know these blades are enclosed in a wired enclosing to ensure safety. This hinders the airflow to an extent but that’s unavoidable. We certainly don’t want our body parts getting in the way.

Regulator is button type. Four buttons are provided including one for stop and other three with subsequent increasing RPM speed. The fan comes with a 7 years guarantee. Of course the guarantee is limited one and company doesn’t replace the parts. It has guarantee for the motor and against the manufacturing defects.

Length of the blades is almost equal to the width. The blades are wide at the outer end. There are three blades in all and they are made up of plastic. If the blades are broad and flat then there would be least air resistance and the motion would be a pure rotation and no airflow. With some squeaks and noise the fan would be of no use. In order to generate a good flow the blades need to bent in an angle so as to maximize the flow and that to in all directions. More bending wouldn’t be good either since then air resistance will come in to play increasing the load on the motor.

There are other colors to from including brown, black and blue. As I mentioned earlier major advantage of the table fan is that it can be moved anywhere because of its lightweight. Also the fan rotated around to give the air in all direction. The control knob is provided at the backside of the fan. The fan is enclosed in a steel wired mesh ensuring the safety. Central motor is very powerful and you can’t stand the flow. The peak RPM speed is quite good as compared to TableMagicAir. There is no problem of durability unless and until you or something alien interferes with the working of the fan. A nice descent model, good airflow and low cost are some of the highlights of the fans. Well that’s almost everything you need in a fan. Go ahead and try one, I mean buy one.
