Myself Chaitali and today I am going to discuss about my personal regarding the " USHA HONEYWELL CL48PM ROOM AIR COOLER " which I bot around one year ago.
First things first, The look of this cooler is very old. Its like a big old wooden box with no design or graphics at all. Style is very poor and finishing of the product is bad. The plastic quality used is very poor in quality and if you put you fingers forcefully the plastic bends and makes noise like it will break. So you should be careful while using this air cooler as it can break at any time. The size of the cooler is very big 3ft x 3ft, which takes a lot of space in the room and its difficult to take one place from another. The weight is 12 kgs, which makes it very difficult to handle. So the looks, styling, handling is very poor and the product quality is old and bad.
Now the main part, Cooling is very slow. It takes almost 30 minutes to start cooling. at first when you turn the cooler on it gives only hot wind. and slowly slowly it starts to give cool air. but the cooling lelev is not that good. a maximum of 24 degrees temperature it can give. So its not that comfortable and useful in hot weather. The cool stops working after 45 degree C. So if you are from a hot place don't buy this cooler, it will not work. And their is another problem which is over heating. At a stretch you can use for three to four hours after that the cooler machine gets over heated and it shuts down itself and after few hours of rest the cooler starts working again. So the performance is very bad. And You cant rely on this product as it has got some quality issues.
The sound of the cooler is very high, outdoor as well as indoor. You cant even sleep properly because of the sound. The machine is very noisy and the cooling fans are not sound proof. The water tank is very small only 3 liters, so you need to keep it feeling through out. the box pack comes with the cooler only so you need to buy the stand and the window holder, but for other brands you will get a free stand and a window holder. So I was very unhappy with this product as it is high in price, it casts around 13, 700 rupees and don't even have a free stand and a holder. So don't buy this product.
The features are very less, no auto modes are there, No auto cooling, Auto air flow control, Sleep mode, no Blower mode, no Swing mode etc etc. No display at the cooler. It does not have a remote so you need to go and control the cooler every time. The switches are not big, The control instructions are not written on the switches. so you need to go to their website to know the product details as they don't give a user guide with the cooler. Which is very bad at this price, and the customer satisfaction is very low.
The installation process was very slow, it took the USHA company three days to come down to my house for installing and also for giving me a warranty card for the product. but while purchasing they said it will take only two hours. The customer service experience is very bad. After using this cooler for two month suddenly one day it stopped working, so I called the customer service center but they did not received and I kept on trying for four days but no response, then I emailed them, and it took then seven days to reply me. Then they said it will take three working days to come and fix, But day came after ten long days, and after inspection they said it will take 2, 700 rupees for them to fix the cooler as the water tank licked and the cooler is out of liquid warranty. So I had to aishwaryasingh23 the money and it took seven more days, so the customer service is not at all fast, they don't treat their customer very well. The attitude toward is money oriented, They only understand the business. So I will suggest you to buy some other good product like bajaj, singer and other. This cooler is high price and low performance and value for money is zero and no customer satisfaction is there. I will give one out of ten to this cooler.
