Visited a Lavender Farm

I just got back from what might be one of the most serene places on this earth. A tiny little lavender farm. It smelled so good there and they had the usual products, soaps, bubblebath, seasalts, candles, loose dried lavender and lavender arrangements. It was so neat. They even had lavender honey and a large selection of handmade crafts in the store.

The owner allows people to come and wonder through his fields which is really nice and there are free pic-nick areas to sit at and take in the aroma and the sites. I ended up with some candles his wife made and a bag of loose dried lavender. I tell you, I'm so relaxed now it's unreal.

I can't say enough about lavender. It's very mood altering and relaxing. I use the essential oil often for massage and I make my own soaps and add the oil into it. Sometimes I add the loose lavender to soap also. I can't wait to go back to his farm and buy a lavender wreath.

They were lovely, but were the cost was more than I had on me. I wasn't actually planning on going there, I just saw the sign and decided to check it out. It seems that is always how you find the neatest places anyway isn't it?
