If any one is looking for good quality, tasty food then this is the best one you can get in Bangalore.
To tell you something about this, Upahar Darshini is the first self service restaurant in India. It has still got the same quality as it started with. It serves all south indian foods. It has got three hotels one at DVG Road, Gandhi Bazaar, the second one is at Gandhi Bazaar main road and the third one is at Jayangar 3rd block. All the three serve good food.
The one on DVG Road has got only self service wing and serves only south indian dishes not meals. But the other two have got both service and self service wings and they serve both north and south indian dishes.
One more thing is about this you get good quality at less cost. Can you imagine a Masala Dosa at just Rs.7/- with Amul butter in Jayanagar 3rd block. I think you get this only at Upahar darshini. It is comparatively cheap in all the three places.
The interiors are very good and the service is best as for as my experience. If you love to enjoy the food then please dont go on Saturdays and Sundays as it is very much crowded on these two days. People will be standing on your heads to finish the food and take your seat. You try in week days.
If love to taste the food visit this atleast once at any of the places.
