It was found in studies years back, but never found a chance to visit it. But upon visiting Uperkot I found it myself for the first time, the real glory of this Heritage site. And also we as an Indian should be proud of such our glorious past. It consists of various sites which include old fort, Adi Kadi Vav, Nav ghan no kuvo, anaaj na kothar, etc. to name a few.
Though the maintenance part is lacking, which you have to adjust if one is history lover. But if governemnt becomes aware about it, that can actually lenthen its life also.
Also city view of Junagadh from there is really worth it. Back side Girnar is also spreaded with its Lush Greenness.The good part is one can enter it with their own vehicle allowed inside also. Also there are other sight seeing points in Junagadh which are must visit.
As Amitabh Bachhan rightly said - Kuch din to gujariye Gujarat main.
