U.V.C.E has its own pros and cons... Review on University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (U.V.C.E.), Bangalore

University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, formerly known as U.V.C.E is one of the oldest colleges in Karnataka.

It's architecture is very evident of its old age. This college is about to celebrate its centenary celebrations.But still, it has it's old doors, broken windows, old buildings-unfortunately, not improved till now.Thus, its architecture is not up to the mark.

Coming to it's academic part, it has some well educated and qualified staff.But for no use, classes are irregular and many times teacher's would take it for granted.Its upto the student to read, understand topics and deliver it in exams.There is no sports club or any such clubs in college.This surely hampers extracurricular activities of it's students.However, it has really good alumni network.

It has some of the well recognised people as its alumni.Good alumni network results in good placement of this college.It has poor administration, poorly maintained canteen and other stuff.It is located in the center of the city.Many times, this would affect students due to traffic, strikes and rallies.No college transportation is available, one should use BMTC busses or Metro.If its architecture, administration and maintenance were upgraded, it has its fair chance of competing among the top colleges in Bangalore.
