I often wonder if the United States believes that they and Great Britain are the only Countries who have 'Declared a War on Terrorism'? I also wonder now that the shock of September 11th, 2001 has worn off if people believe that this War should end now? What do you believe? No peeking at the end of this review where I will tell you what I think!
SOME OF THE ARMIES:
There are many Armies that are fighting to end Terror all over the World. Some of the Country's who have their Military Fighting in Afghanistan that are hoping to defeat Bin Laden's Taliban are Canada, Great Britain, India, Pakistan, Russia and the U.S.A.
WHAT IS A FREEDOM FIGHTER:
A Freedom Fighter fights military people on the other side. They do not place their home base in the middle of a village, town or city. In fact they avoid as much contact with their people as they can, (they do need food and supplies so there is some contact). As an example think of the freedom fighter's of WW II.
WHAT IS A TERRORIST:
A Terrorist has their home base in the middle of a refugee camp, village, town or city. They send young children and women out to blow them self up and kill as many innocent people as they can. They do try and kill as many Military People as they can but they do this when Soldiers are on a bus or standing on a road waiting for a ride home. Think about what happened in the Viet Nam War.
Terrorists brainwash their people to think that they will be 'martyrs' in the 'world to come'. The leaders rarely lead their people into battle but stay at home sitting on a sofa and watch CNN to see how their 'project worked out'.
Premier Golda Mier, of Israel, (may she rest in peace), once said, 'I do not hate the Arab People. I do hate the Muslim Leaders who make me send our Military to kill the young people who we are fighting.'
WHO HAS HELPED:
There is a group in Northern Ireland that has both Catholic and Protestant Women. They decided 'enough was enough'.
In Israel there is a group called 'Peace Now' who are willing to give up the 'occupied territory lands' to have peace and stop the killing of young men, (fighting on both sides). They too have said, 'Enough is enough'.
I pray that one day people who are fighting each other will say 'enough is enough'.
A wise person once said, 'Old Men never die in battle they let the young Men fight the battles for them'. This was not true in WW I, WW II and the Korean War. But it is true at this time.
SHOULD WE CONTINUE TO FIGHT TERRORISTS AROUND THE WORLD:
I believe we should continue to fight the terrorists until we can eliminate them for good.
I don't understand why people cannot sit down and negotiate. A wise person once said, 'You don't end a war by talking to your Friends you end it by talking to your enemies.
CANADA:
My Country sends our Army and the R.C.M.P. (Mounties or Royal Canadian Mounted Police), around the World to act as Peace Keepers. This means they stand between two Countries who are fighting each other.
My Country also lets every Terrorist that applies to enter Canada permission to do so. This includes Nazi's, (not all German's were or are Nazi's), the PLO and Bin Ladin's people. I think this is a disgrace and this policy should be stopped immediately.
MY THOUGHTS:
One of my Friends Son-in-law was killed by 'friendly fire' by a Pilot from the U.S. Air Force dropped a bomb. Four Canadian Soldiers died and many more were injured. I know the Pilot did not mean to do this and must be suffering a lot. I hope that he knows we know he did not mean to do this.
To answer my question I believe that what ever happens, how much money it takes or how long it takes we should never stop fighting Terrorists. I hope we can all get together and yell from the roof tops of every Country in the World, ‘Enough is enough’!
