Today(09-Jun-2014) I went to United India Insurance Company Ltd office at Calicut for changing insurance claimant's name and address in the policy. I have bought a second hand car and now the car is registered in my name. Its insurance policy was taken from Manjeri Branch of United India Insurance. I need to change the name and address in the policy(transfer policy to new R.C. details). I have talked to Manjeri and Ramanattukara branch people and they have advised me to go to Calicut branch for updating the policy. So I went there with original R.C. and other documents. I have to drive about 22KM to reach this office at calicut. But the manager behaved very rude and irrespectful.(He was sitting at the first single table and chair beside the entry door and I don't know his name). He told me it is not possible to change the policy from there and I have to got to Manjeri branch. I have told him that Manjeri branch people advised me to come here. But he didn't help and also shouted at me. He didn't even try to solve the issue. He behaved like uneducated and a man with cheap personality. So I decided to take a new policy from another company.
I got a new policy from The New India Assurance Co. Ltd. They were good people. They have checked my car and given the policy within 1 hour. So I recommend everyone not to go to United India Insurance Company for taking insurance policies as those people are not good at work. They cannot satisfy any customer needs.
