the movie which stunned the india and gave a beauty called REKHA.the film which has so beautiful songs that r sung even today by the youngesters also... that is umrao jaan.J.P.Dutta,famous for his warriors and soldiers is now coming with an eternal love story.music is out so far.composed by anu malik ( dont believe but its anu malik!!!!!! ). songs r written by javed akhtar saab. anu malik has tried his best to give the old mujra and mehfil charm to the songs but at some point,it seems boaring.the album contains 10 songs including intro. by javed akhtar saab.
coming to the main song, agle janam mohe .... a beautiful song. beautifully sung by richa sharma. u can feel the sadness while listening. this song is partly based on raga yaman. a good song to hear. there is also another version of this song sung by anmol malik.
2nd song, behka diya... sung by sonu, and alka. sung very well but not composed nicely.a very slow song ull start counting when it ends.not worth listening.
3rd song, ek tute hue dil ki... this is just a simple stranza, sung by alka yagnik,doesnt have any impact at all.
4th song, joothe ilzaam... sung by alka yagnik.relatively good song.starts with tarana and based on mujra beats but still it is not having such impact ( I dont know why. but alka yagnik can b a reason.all the songs seems monotonous at the time and fells boaring. )
cmng to 5th song, salaam... v can see the visual in the trailors of the movie. same thing here, a slow and tired composition.
6th song, mein naa mil saku... alka yagnik again, relatively fast song.same mujra mood is repeted.ull like to hear the song just for twice.
7th song, pahele pahel... and the history repets again. same mood,same monotony,same instruments and.......... same singer.... doesnt have any any impact.
cmng to 8th song... poochh rahe hai...dont need to say anything. ( as per song no.7 ) but in this song, u can feel the variation of the beats.thats all.
jawed akhtar saab has given a brief introduction about the album and movie.
overall.... only one song is impressive i.e. agle janam. ull get tired,monotonus,compositions after purchasing the album. its better to listen the other mujra moods e.g. old umrao jaan,paakizaah...
not worth listening.
