I just watched a very heart warming movie named Ullam Kaetkume which immediately prompted me to write a review on the movie. Its one of the most entertaining youthful movie released in recent times and surely is worth a watch many times. Here is why its worth a watch

Story: A story of 5 college students who are the thickest of friends. It was originally titled Pepsi where Pepsi stands for Pooja (Laila), Emam (Arya), Priya (Asin), Shaam (Shaam) and Irene (Pooja). Emam is in love with Irene while Pooja is in love with Shaam who loves Priya. They are all at the wedding of Emam who is getting married to another girl, not Irene. They recollect all their college experiences. Pooja goes to America after getting to know that there is another girl in Shaam's life. She comes fr the wedding. But here is a twist - Priya gets married to some one else other than Shaam. Now what happens between Pooja and Shaam forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Shaam: A very nice portrayal by Shaam!! I liked this guy in 12B itself and he in fact exceeds my expectations here with such a good portrayal. If only he starts using his own voice in this movies, he can become a big star. He is not a guy with starry tantrums. I really am impressed with Shaam

Pooja: Laila for a change impresses me in this movie. I have always hated her especially in Pithamagan. Though this one was slightly an extension of her Pithamagan bubbliness, she was more sweeter in this movie. Her 'tooth holder'' adds more of an artificial smile to her face but still she is cute in this movie. Not yet her fan but she is good here!

Arya: Another guy who impressed me. Heard that he has given a very good performance in the recently released Arindhum Ariyamalum. Now I am planning to catch that movie. This guy looks good in soft romantic roles. Wont suit much for action as he doesnt have it in him to look tough. But this guy has a bright future if he selects good roles.

Asin: My gosh!!! Mind blowingly beautiful!! How I wish this had been her first release? But M Kumaran was very good too. She is now in my list of favorite actresses along with Jyothika, Simran, Shalini, Trisha, etc. She looks overall very cute. Her smile is that attraction. Can keep looking at her for a very long time.

Pooja: Another beauty! This star cast is absolute perfect. All very good looking people. Pooja doesnt get much to act but still she passes in the acting department. But she looks terrific. You just dont want the movie to end because Pooja and Asin dont allow you to get away from the movie. Guys beware!!! You might end up having diabetes for the rest of your life because these girls are just so sweet!!!

Director: Hats off Jeeva. I liked your 12B too. It was a brilliant movie but it confused the viewers. Fortunately, you keep up your work and move a few notches higher. And a reat star cast here. I wish this star cast comes back again (or you make a sequel to this movie depicting the life of Irene!). Cinematography also very good.Great music.. Love the Dho Da song...

Others: Others have done well and to their part. Some minor cons: Has heavy resemblances to Kuch Kuch Hota Hai where Kajol goes back home on knowing about Shahrukh's love for Rani. Also some scenes here reminds the viewers of some Bollywood super hits (looks like Jeeva is a fan of Bollywood romance!). And the BGM's for this movie are a lift off from HJ's previous works in Minnale, 12B, etc etc.

Rating time: Shaam, Arya, Asin, Laila and Pooja: 100/100 Direction: 95/100 Music: 85/100 Cons: -10 Overall rating: 90% (Definitely worth a watch and can be saved on DVD!)
