Hey so I am the first one to write a review on this film..no wonder...because I guess maximum of you must have rather watched yuva than watching this rajshri production flick starring two newcomers...
Rajshri productions does it again...After MPKDH they deliver another dud in the form of UFF KYA JADOO MOHABBAT HAI...I wish I would have rather stayed at home and studied for my forthcoming exams but after reading so many dismal reviews of YUVA I thought better give this film a chance...Frankly speaking he new girl POOJA KANWAL looked really cute in the promos of the film...
THE STORY OR LACK OF IT: Pari (Pooja Kanwal), daughter of Kumar Choudhary (Sachin Khedekar) sets off to Simla to study in the college in which her mother used to study...Here she meets Yash(Sameer) and is charmed by his goodness, ambitions and flair for dance and music...Pari tries hard to be a pat of Yash and his gang and though Yash dissuades her initially,he slowly gives in to her realizing that she truly cares for him....Naturally Love blossoms in the valley of Simla and the two discover the magic of first love...
Just when everything looked correct Yash is falsely implicated with a serous allegation against him...Yash's world is shattered but inspite of stiff opposition from her family Pari supports Yash and in the end like all typical love stories their love emerges out truimphant.....
EXTRA SHOTS: In keeping the Rajshri tradition of targeting the family audiences, UUF KYA JAADOO MOHABBAT HAI?! is aimed at the families and also the youth..Charcters like Mrinal Kulkarni and tushar Dalvi as Pari's Uncle and Aunt and Daisy Irani as the Granny make you realise that its a big sooaj barjatya Family on celluloid...
PERFORMANCES: Sameer looks good,dances well and delivers an ok performance...Pooja kanwal is cute and bubbly but hams throughout....the supporting cast is adequate..hwever one thing I want to point out is that akshay anand in the role of Pari's brother is absent throughout the first half of the film and makes an entry towards the last half hour but he targets Yash as if he has some personal animosity gainst him..Infact his sequences looked quite comic on screen...there are two more newcomers who act horribly especially the guy playing the role of YUVRAJ....
Direction is poor,further let down by the script which has nothing new or special to offer...The climax is extremely abrupt and you feel as if the director was wanting to end the film in a haste....
HIGHLIGHTS: Well, in a below mediocre fare like this you have to twist your brains to find the highlights but yes the music of Sandesh Shandliya can be called a high point..Especially ''Shukriya'' and ''Shehzadi hai koi''...Shukriya has been picturised well....
take my advice...Inspite of all the bad reviews that you read of YUVA go and watch YUVA only...or better still wait for hum tum which is due to release next week...
