Udta Punjab is a movie to value. Narrating four parallel characters, amidst the corruption of the system would have faltered if the director wasn’t sharp with execution. Abhishek Chaubey handled the material very well and extracted superb performances too. The film unflinchingly brigs out the harsh realities of drugs in Punjab and bravely expose everyone. Dailjit Dosanjh makes a very impressive debut. Manv Vij is extremely likable. Shahid Kapoor is excellent, but Alia Bhatt beats everyone. Despite all the odd against the release of this film, Udta Punjab proved that it was worth fighting for. The new and different story is highly appreciable.
