Udaipur is a very beautiful city. It is also known as the city of lakes and palaces.
It is a very popular tourist destination for both domestic and international travellers
-Udaipur Airport is not very huge.
-It is not even air-conditioned.
-It can give you impression of railway station. (Arrival Section)
-I was outside the airport within minutes of Arrival.
The Departure section had five to six shops. Eatables, newspapers, mineral water, books and some rajasthani handicrafts were available at the shops.
The airport is located outside the city. It took exactly one hour to reach at Airport from Pratap Nagar where I was staying.
You can take a taxi to go to the city from the airport. But the taxi drivers fight amongst themselves for the customer. After five minutes of argument they decide which taxi you will go in.
I have gone to Udaipur three times, 2 times by air and one time by road.
Both the times their X-ray machines didn?t work so they checked my baggage manually.
They check you twice with a metal detector before you enter the aircraft.
The last time I had gone to Udaipur was four years back. I think it must have changed by now.
