It's so often when you dont expect great things it comes to you suddenly, that's the precise case with "UDAAN".
Although you know its coming from the brilliant composer "Amit Trivedi"who have given superb soundtracks in the past be it in "anwar", "aamir" and above all his claim to fame "DEV D".
But YOu are not sure what to expect from this movies soundtrack, Frankly I didnt hope much till I saw the promo the background track in that promo"kahani khatam hai" sounded great, so I was waiting for it.
Few people who know me here knows I write I little so I like songs which are soul in it and beutifull lyrics in it, thats why this album scores for me.
First soundtrack "Kahani aankhon ke pardon" is beautifully written song sung by joy & numen pinto I was dying to hear this this after the promo, and it didnt dissappointed me either, very good begining only one problem with this song is that its too short.
after this comes"geet main dhalte " is a song about a vision when you seeing your dreams at your door very beautifully written its such a delight to hear this song, we still have the essence of poetry left in indian film music, sung by Amit trivedi and amit bhattacharya.
"Nadi main talab hai" is just mesmerising this album just gets better with each song, this song may be its theme song with beautiful lines.its about letting you dream free with lyrics like "ek udaan kab talak kaid rahegi".its just total delight.
Then comes"chadti lahren laagh na paaye" is a masterpeice if you have listened the song of indian ocean's bhor I liked that you will absolutely love this, very beautifuuly written inspiring you to not to let go fight and swim againgst the tide very very superrb song.
"ud ja ban ke dhoop ka panchhi chhuda ke gehri chhanv andheri" is one of the most beautifully written song in reccent times.
As you all must be aware what udaan is all about, if not its about some young student trying to live their dreams and based in school life so here comes the teaser song "iski maa agar ise" is a song when all student teasing a student superb funny song with lyrics like
"iski maa agar ise pet me hi maar deti to bihar me akaal na hot orissa main baadh na hoti.
with a bunch a singers like Raman Mahadevan, Amitabh Bhattacharya, Bonnie Chakraborty, Kshitij, Shriram Ayyar, Tochi, Amit Trivedi & Anurag Kashyap its worth listening and laughing your heart out.
Then comes most brilliantally written song of the album "parion ke bediya"
just sample these lines

just so beautifull, i cant get tired of this song I dont remember the album I got this much satisfaction last time may be the poems of dus kahaniyaa by gulzaar was the last time with 10 great poems .
A must buy for all music lovers who like to listen some soul soothing and lyrical masterpieces
there is no stopping for this udaan anywhere.
