I have used Uber many times. I never had any problem. The app is good and nice to use. The drivers have always been nice and kind, the cars clean and with the GPS you can tell where the driver is and when they will be arriving.
Can easily get a fare estimate before you hire the car so you know approximately what the fare will be.
Use caution during holiday times and storms. Uber will price surge. It is clearly defined when they surge but make sure you notice it.
I highly recommend using Uber.
