Uber has been in business in India since 2013. There is a very fitting competitiveness among Ola & Uber. The best part of an Uber service is that the cabs they provide. If you book a Ola micro, you are supposed to get a white indica. Incase of UberGo, one might get a toyota etios or a renualt logan depending on his/her own luck which is way more comfortable to sit in. Uber, as of now is only available in 26 cities & has the same frequency compared to Ola, Meru & other cab service providers. Another best part about Uber is the professionalism their drivers show. Once u put the pickup point & destination, the driver will come to your doorstep. No need to direct him to your address no matter which lane you are in. The same does not go with other cab service providers. I have faced this issue many a times with Ola as well as Meru Cab drivers. Uber doesn't have any customer care support which is a major drawback. There are certain email links where one can address their problems. They will eventually get back to u once u drop a mail. One more thing I personally disliked was their cancellation fee. Once I booked a Cab from Koramanagala to B'lore Airport. If u look carefully in Uber's app, there is no option to call the driver. The driver is supposed to call u on the registered number. I was waiting for the driver to call & after 15 mins my ride was cancelled by the driver. They deducted Rs.75 from my paytm account without even confirming the customer. I mailed them back where I wrote about my concern & to my surprise they refunded my money within an hour which was great. Overall I feel one should give Uber a try, the drivers are quite professional & the rates are quite reasonable.
