I am here in kolkata and I uses uber rarely. This uber cab service has a biggest downside and that is Not having any call centre for instant help in any situation and I have faced an issue while I needed instant help.
Once I had booked this cab using a promo code of Rs. 300 discount but after completing the trip driver asked for Rs. 290 in cash because device was showing this amount to be paid. I told about promo code used during booking but driver said he don't know anything and he wants money in cash. I searched internet for uber's call centre number but there was not any number provided for customers. I had to finally pay the amount.
I sent an e-mail to uber mentioning my issue and they refunded my money charged but they just added this amount to my uber credit to be used in next rides. This is really bad service by uber.
I find uber have higher price rate comparing ola cab, and have always a hike in fare.
Though cabs are clean, booking is easy, and app interface is also good. You can pay in cash you have link your paytm, debit card or credit card.
