Fact -
Twilight is ayoung-adult vampire-romancenovel written by author Stephenie Meyer. It was originally published in 2005 in hardback.It is the first book of the *Twilight series where a seventeen-year-oldfinds her life in dangerwhen she falls in love with a vampire. The novel is followed by New Moon, Eclipseand Breaking Dawn.
Plot
The film was directed by Catherine Hardwicke and stars Kristen Stewartand Robert Pattinson as protagonists Isabella Swanand Edward Cullen, respectively.
Isabella "Bella" Swan moves from sunny Phoenix, Arizonato rainy Forks, Washington to live with her father, Charlie. She chooses to do this so thather mother, Renée, can travel with her new husband, Phil Dwyer, who is a minor league baseball player. Bella attracts muchattention at her new school and is quickly befriended by several students. Muchto her dismay, several boys in the school compete for shy Bella's attention.
When Bella sits next to Edward Cullen in class on her first day ofschool, Edward seems utterly repulsed by her. After tricking a family friend, Jacob Black, into telling her local tribal legends, Bella concludes that Edward and hisfamily are vampireswho drink the blood of animals, not humans. Edward reveals that he initiallyavoided Bella because the scent of her blood was so desirable to him. Overtime, Edward and Bella fall in love.
Their relationship is thrown into chaos whenanother vampire covensweeps into Forks and James, a tracker vampire, decides that hewants to hunt Bella for sport. The rest of the movie trails with twists and turns.
What did I like about it?
For the first time in my Hollywood Horror movie experience, I came across a vampire movie where I myself fell in love with the characters, needless to mention that this 22 yr old guy has done an amazing job. And needless to add, why despite knowing the fact, the girl falls for him way deep.
The presentation of the story is new, atleast as far as I could find it.
Its a romantic, cheesy and sci-fi thriller, a modern day love story between a teenage girl and a NOT- SO teenage vamp.
The passion, obsession, sincerity and love Edward has for Bella is any girl's dream(!) from her partner for her, which is shown so well, especially when he speaks less and expresses more.
What I did not like about it?
Ofcourse, since its fictional, its expected NOT to have logic behind it, hence, one would need to see it with logic gates closed.
Conclusion
If you want an adrenaline rush in your blood out of thrills, you should not miss this flick. I am sure if not loving it and seeing it again, you would definitely not hate it.
